    Aphasia Therapy

Looking for Participants:

Adults

Aphasia for 6 months

English speaking

Right handed

Medically Stable

You will be paid some $

Practice Word-Finding

Participation will include:

  1. Completing language assessments.
    1. 3 sessions before treatment begins (2-3 hours each)
    2. 3 sessions during the treatment period (1-2 hours each)
    3. 2 sessions immediately after treatment ends(2-3 hours each)
    4. 2 sessions approximately 6 weeks after treatment ends (1-2 hours each)
  2. Participating in group treatment 2 times/week for 7 weeks (1-2 hours/session)
  3. Completing assigned homework and log activities

  1. The aphasia therapy project will take place at the NYU Speech Pathology Dept at 665 Broadway, 9th floor. It is near W3rd St in the Washington Square Park area of NYC. I hope to begin ASAP, as soon as 4 participants can be found. Thanks for your interest.
